We are a small village within a farming community outside of Ottawa. City of Ottawa has allowed us to use their hook-up for Water to the Ottawa river which cost the residents in excess of 12M and the rest of us who use well water have not see any hydrological surveys etc.and do not know how it will effect us. The planned site is on the highest land around and from what I can remember ,water flows to seek it lowest positon,which could mean contamination of our wells and soil for farming.The dump will be built about 3to4 km from the Castor river which runs through the village and fill our wells could be contaminated. I feel that their may be some collusion because we had a fight to get water at one time and then like magic we get it,are there strings attached ??? Any Ideas to bring to our meeting with the developers and council to assure everyone is properly protected?
